In addition to our current exhibition programme, we are delighted to be showing work by Frank Brangwyn (1867-1956) at Woodend, one of Britain's most respected early 20th Century artists. The exhibition, on loan from the Goldmark Gallery, will run until the 7th Juanuary 2017 and complements an exhibition of the artist's work being held at Scarborough Art Gallery, Frank Brangwyn, Man of the People. This is the first time that Woodend and the Scarborough Museums Trust have collaborated in this way.

An exhibition of mainly black and white photographs spanning more than 30 years and covering several genres from a photographer with no formal training.
From portraits, urban and industrial landscapes to the surreal and somewhat abstract, these images come together in a cohesive narrative characterised by David Arnison's background and photographic influences.

Life's a Catwalk

Nick Wilkinson

Friday 2nd December - Saturday 7th January
9am - 5pm weekdays

Sometimes it seems like everywhere we turn nowadays, people are being judged for what they look like and the image they present to the world, rather than who they are and what they've achieved.
This new collection of artwork by Nick Wilkinson aims to capture this obsession and mix the old style with the new, exploring how people idolise themselves on famous celebrities and iconic figures from the past
