the gallery at woodend supports a diverse range of artists and craftspeople who work in Scarborough and North Yorkshire. Located in the foyer and main Gallery space, our collections offer a range of original art works and comprises a unique assortment of hand made products including fine art, craft, jewellery, ceramics and textiles. All items are for sale. In addition, the gallery at woodend hosts a range of temporary exhibitions throughout the year.

Opening times: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Entry to the gallery at woodend is FREE and all visitors are very welcome!

Brangwyn at Woodend

Saturday 8th October - Saturday 7th January

In addition to our current exhibition programme, we are delighted to be showing work by Frank Brangwyn (1867-1956) at Woodend, one of Britain's most respected early 20th Century artists. The exhibition, on loan from the Goldmark Gallery, will run until the 7th Juanuary 2017 and complements an exhibition of the artist's work being held at Scarborough Art Gallery, Frank Brangwyn, Man of the People. This is the first time that Woodend and the Scarborough Museums Trust have collaborated in this way. 

 

Design of a Decade

Fitzpatrick Design has been a part of the Woodend community since it opened in 2008, providing creative design solutions to a wide rnage of local, national and international clients including Fullers Brewery and Radisson BLU Hotels. This exhibition marks the company's 10th anniversary and aims to provide an insight into the world of commercial graphic design, showcasing much of Fitzpatrick Design's work produced over the last ten years.

 

Sea Swim

Head Above Water

The transformative effects of sea bathing that inspire artists and writers are captured in an exhibition that explores its sensations, stories and psychological impact. Head Above Water reveals the embodied imagination of the swimmer’s experience through film, photography, sculpture, drawing and poetry at venues around Scarborough. Supported by Arts Council England through Grants for the Arts.
